Powerpost

In space no-one can .. assume you still don't need cooling towers.

A gift from two friends this weekend - the very latest version of the classic game Power Grid - Power Grid: Outpost.  A 'mash-up. of the games Power Grid and (wait for it...) Outpost set on a distant planet.


Only just released at the show at the boardgaming 'Mecca' of Essen in Germany, where one friend had recently returned from.  The power station pieces on this new planet do rather resemble coal-fired power station cooling towers on Earth.  Imagery lasts well in 'folk' memory - look at the steam outline on any railway related road sign.

Winding down the weekend now; finishing off with a meal out at the Alturo Lounge, and a light game (and a bit of whisky tasting).
