Sunrise at the Gulperberg

With circumstances opposite of yesterday, we enjoyed and captured the sunrise from the (top of) the Gulperberg.
We struggled somewhat with our compositions because of a lack of foreground subjects. Once the sun was up I played with the light it sprinkled across the landscape.

Breakfast followed and after that we checked out of our home in Noorbeek/Hoogcrutz. We then captured the steam train Miljoenenlijn, from a distance. Because I was filming and photographing at the same time, I actually missed the decisive moment when the train was on the small viaduct. A pity, but it is still on video. Worse things happen.
We looked around for some other locations, but we both knew we had a 3 to 4 hour drive ahead, so our mind wasn't really that deep into landscaping anymore. We had coffee and a vlaai in Berg en Terblijt and then we went up north again.
But not before I'd shown Peter the home of André Rieu in Maastricht, of course. We drove past his home/castle with some proper music on and then I re-programmed my navigation to my home address.
Again a short delay around Venlo, but not as bad as last Friday. At 17 o'clock I dropped Peter off at his home.

What a great way to spend a weekend!

I now can't wait to edit the videofilm we made.
That editing probably will have to wait a while, there are other things on the agenda in the next few days.
