Sapphire hunting.
This is PJ putting a bucket of 'wash' into this contraption. The handle at the right hand end is turned and this rolling motion gets rid of the loose dirt & the bigger rocks (but you always check what comes out as waste - just in case) , and the good wash comes down the shute and into the bucket. It is then my job to take this bucket and put it through 2 sieves. This is when you find out if you have any sapphires or not.
We did about 20 of the buckets of the size that PJ is tipping in, and only found 3 tiny pieces, a bit less than the size of a match head.
So it is back out there tomorrow to have another go. I will photo the job that I will be doing.
