Blustery Day!

But oddly warm. The day became more and more overcast as the afternoon wore on. We're expecting quite a bit of rain overnight and into midday tomorrow. I puttered around my gardens today, starting to wind things down for the winter. I brought in the plants that spent the summer outside, repotted a couple of them and they're now sitting under lights in my office. I don't have a lot of direct sun in my house, especially during the winter, so use my light shelves over the winter. I took cuttings of my coleus plants (see yesterday's post) and they're all sitting in water. They'll root quickly and eventually I'll pot them up.

This photo is of the big ceramic container that my ex brought over a week or so ago - I've added more plants and it should be in good shape for the winter. The fuchsia may die back if it gets cold enough, but the other plants should continue to bloom until spring. And I can see it from my kitchen window!
