Day 2…
Of entertaining our American guests.
But first…… I forgot to say yesterday that Josh & Natalie have moved to their new home. One that is a bit of a project and needs a lot of work doing to it. I think the previous owner maybe had mental health issues as when we viewed it there were two rooms you couldn’t get in to. Although just about cleared, a skip was collected as Josh arrived but had to leave some of the stuff as it was too full ~ they did say they would return to pick up the other stuff. The house is incredibly dirty, toilet seats taken, one toilet broken. They have started the clean up with the help of her parents ( I’m tied up this week but hope I can be of some help the following week) and stayed at there’s last night but will stay in their new home tonight.
Back to our day…. Mr C picked up A&R and we had a lunch of quiche, salad & new potatoes. Mr C and R then went off to watch Quins play, Rs first time at watching a rugby match…. Earlier in the year he bought himself a Quins top so he was all ready for the match. Meanwhile, Lucy and I took A to Next to look at jeans before we headed up to London. I booked tickets for a candlelight concert at St. Martins in the fields. It was only an hour long and was Vivaldis Four Seasons. Not knowing if A liked classical music, I thought an hour would be manageable. We arranged to meet the boys at Seven Dials Market so us 3 meandered down showing her Neals Yard on the way. The market is lots of street food outlets and once the boys got there we all enjoyed some dumplings, Lucy had a hash brown concoction. We said our goodbyes at the station and I think they enjoyed their day.
