Royal Peculiar

St Peter's Collegiate Church. Apparently it used to be a "royal peculiar", which makes it an appropriate blip for today, as the news is currently saturated with the arrival of another royal peculiar.

I'm not going to waste too much breath on the depressingly hysterical reaction of the media to the newborn anachronism; besides, I think Glaswegian comedian Rab Florence summarised it perfectly, thus saving me the need: "The royal baby has been named Prince Damien Satanus Vader Sauron Thatcher Joffrey Charles Manson Savile Dalek Windsor. Long live the thing!"
