Ashley's edge (Day 3450)

After a wander in the dark with Sigyn, and a trip to town for the weekly shop, I zoomed through to Stromness to check on the horses as the wind rose. The main purpose of the visit was to get coats on Robin, George and Red before the forecast rain arrived. It was a bit of a fight getting the coats on in the wind but I managed. I left the field as the first drops of rain appeared.
I wasn't quite so lucky with the weather later when I took Sigyn out and I got completely drenched. It was a day for finding out if my waterproofs are still waterproof, and they aren't.
After drying out I headed back to Stromness as the sun came out and put hay out. The rain earlier had turned the field into a bit of a sloppy mess and I got the quad bike a bit stuck a couple of times. It is that time of the year when everything becomes just that little bit more difficult.
It seems my beautiful wife is on the boat on the way home, enduring a fairly rough crossing.
