Woke up to the sad news about Sir Chris Hoy this morning.  After seeing him at the Olympics doing the commentary, it looked like he was doing well. Not so. My brother trained with him in the same club when they were both teenagers and both our families knew each other quite well. After my brother won all the under 16 championships he gave it up as girls and nights out were more important! Chris kept going and had huge success. 
I also can't stop thinking about his young children and how they will be loosing a Dad, one I can relate to. 
It has dampened my day as I did the supermarket shop for myself and Mum, who is coming back this week from her sisters in Portugal. 
The spider plant looked good in the sun. Now we have high winds and rain as Storm Ashley comes our way.
