Calne In Autumn (Saturday 19th October 2024)

Calne's animals' finely-attuned Early Warning System was efficient in ensuring that they were all well hid before I came into view. Fortunately it takes more for a tree to divest itself of leaves and these autumn colours were resplendent in the lunchtime sun, as I walked across Beach Terrace, just above the River Marden in the town centre.

In Extras is an example of how Calne is ever changing. The Laundrette is gone but after council renovations the building will become something else.
