Sunday Lunch

At 'The Bird in Hand' pub just round the corner from our campsite, the pub which claims to serve 'the best pub food in Cheshire', and having now savoured some ourselves, we can definately give them the thumbs up.

The pub was lovely, as were the staff and the food was fabulous. Roasts of the day for both of us, beef for Mr HB and lamb for me. Followed by sticky toffee pudding for Himself and I had an Affogato with a shot of Disaronno liqueur. Heard of Affogato, but never had one before, it was really gorgeous. Wish I had a coffee machine at home to make these for a smart dinner party (when and if)?!

The weather was awful this morning so we drove to the pub but by the time we came out the rain had stopped and the sun was shining and despite the still raging wind I decided to walk back to the caravan. Glad I did as the wind was at my back so blew me along nicely.

It's our last evening here in Cheshire and it looks like it's going to be a rough one. The wind strength is increasing all the time.

Thanks so much to everyone who left such kind comments and hearts on yesterday's Anniversary Blip.
