Pool day

Backblipped Sunday for Friday

Had a lovely relaxing day at the pool whilst everyone else did tgeir own thing. My brother and his family had an early start to the the wee kids in the train ride we did yesterday. Both boys loved it and were very well behaved all day even though it was a long day and nap time wasn’t as structured as it normally is. Mr PHL’s brother and his wife headed over to Santa Ponsa to meet up with friends of theirs who arrived midweek for a few days.

Met my brother and his fiancé to meet the others for dinner and as we thought we were running late we jumped in a taxi to get to the centre of PalmaNova. When he finally got one of his daughters on the phone, it turned out the restaurant they’d chosen was pretty much back in Magaluf so we had a fast walk to get back to them. Caught the moonrise en route.

Shared a seafood paella with my brother which was tasty but came with slightly overdone prawns.

We stopped off at a wee Spanish bar for a drink with the kids before heading to the Piano bar for a nightcap whilst the kids were taken home. A wee drama unfolded with a woman acting strangely when she entered the bar. She was followed pretty quickly by 3 guarda civil cars and their occupants. Turned out her partner had been rather drunk the previous evening and making threats to the bar staff so she was hustled off the premises pretty quickly.

We were just about to leave when the bar staff brought us a fitter round of drinks on the house. I was floating in gin by the time we made it back to the hotel about 2am.
