Raise your hands in the air
Bermuda Day 2 was another packed programme. L and I went north to St David's where we walked on and around Clearwater Beach (which is mainly a succession of tombolas, short beaches and low rise promontories on which there was once a NASA outpost), saw the Backyard Ultra race (yes, me neither), and then poked around the rest of the locality, viewing the St David's Lighthouse and the Figurehead Memorial, picked up fish sandwiches from a local cafe and took them to the Ferry Point Park to eat, where we sat with a view of the remains of the railway bridge across to Coney Island and the Martello Tower, then back to Tucker's Point beach club where I had a couple of swims in the sea and we sat on the beach and read our books for a while.
Back to base, there were a quiet couple of hours before heading into Hamilton with some friends of L&L for dinner at Intrepid Restaurant in the Hamilton Princess hotel.
The entire day was interspersed showers and sunshine. We didn't get too wet, thank goodness, by planning our forays carefully.
I've added further to my album of photos on Flickr.
