Prokletiji National Park

We woke to low cloud this morning - no sign of the mountains. So a leisurely start to the day and our sloth like behaviour was rewarded with a lift in the clouds at 10.30.
Up and out for a walk round these beautiful mountains, starting with an hour up through a golden brown beech forest.
Once out we walked up to a high ridge and two peaks - Volusnica (1878m) and on to Popadija (2057) - and then round to a Vojisa pass, and down. The ridge was the border of Montenegro and Albania so we got to walk in 2 countries - no passports were required!
We had spectacular views of these glaciated limestone mountains, down to the valleys and autumnal forests. More wows.
