Bowled Him!

Ravi Bopara falls to the bowling of Michael Yardy & reaches a meagre, Sussex-esque style 7 runs, as the Essex Eagles still manage to see off the Sussex Sharks at the their Hove ground.

Sussex set a fairly low target of 147, which Essex took no time setting about demolishing, in the end winning comfortably by 7 wickets. It really was a master class of T20 big hitting & was great fun to watch.

We had a lovely day in the blazing sunshine, enjoying a few drinks & of course a few big 99 ice-creams! We joined a colleague of mine, Paige & her boyfriend, Matt, who were very apologetic of Sussex's performance on the day, but it was good fun nevertheless. Cannot a bit of live cricket! We got constant Ashes updates too - c'mon England. Absolutely storming. Even Jenny enjoyed it, although that might have had something to do with her having brought her knitting with her...!?

But that's just not cricket.
