Fall color in the valley

Second last plant buying trip to the valley for this year. I still need some shrubs for one job.
Lots of fall color around so I stopped here and there for some photos. The Pumpkin People are on display in Kentville but it was a rather disappointing display this year. There is a different theme each year and usually there are more than just the pumpkin people as part of each display. Only a couple of them had some props with them.
I had planned to go for a walk at Miners Marsh but there was a children's race being held there so I didn't stay long. I walked out to the end of the peninsula, took a few photos, then left while the kids were doing the loop around the marsh.
After I picked up the plants I started towards home. I took a detour thru Gaspereau so I could avoid all the traffic around Wolfville for Homecoming weekend, and to avoid the construction on the 101 hwy. There is construction on a bridge and traffic is down to one lane with traffic lights. With over a  thousand cars passing thru that area each hour it doesn't take long for things to back up. Last weekend there was an accident there that closed the highway for most of the day on Saturday.
Peaches caught another mouse tonight. When she dropped it on the kitchen floor it was still alive. I swept it onto the dustpan and held it there till I could toss it outside. I left a message for the owner and her nephew tonight, telling them something needs to be done now. I also told the owner that if I have to hire someone to take care of it, I will, but the cost will be coming off the rent. I will see if that gets her attention.
