'LIKE A MOTH DRAWN TO A FLAME'

Well it has been a very hot sultry day again and it didn't matter what I did my hair stayed wet all day. All I could do was sweep it back and put it in a pony tail. I had been out taking photos in the garden of bees and flowers, when I noticed this moth sitting on the conservatory furniture.

I thought I would get the new tripod out and take a close up. I did this but it looked very boring. So I went out in search of something more interesting. Took lots of shots of bees but none of the close ups looked very clear.

When Mr A came home, the moth was still there with it's wings closed. We kept looking at it and it didn't move and we were trying to identify it.

I was worried it had come into the conservatory to die so I touched it. It was only then it opened up its wings so I took another photo.

Having spent hours looking through the moths on the internet, I think it's a Polyphemus Moth. It nearly became a premature dead moth, when Phoebe became fascinated with it.

So tomorrow you might get to see the Hosta blipped last month now in flower or the Oleander out the front which has never flowered but now having buds.

Storms are forecast for some tonight - keep safe everyone and hopefully it will be less sticky tomorrow.

Thank you for dropping by and reading my 'tripe', and until we 'meet' again.
Stay healthy!!
