Brancaster Beach

And so onto the final stage of our journey to Norfolk, arriving in our holiday accommodation just after 4.00pm. Daniel, Solveig and Lili will arrive in a couple of hours, so we drive down to Brancaster beach.

There’s clear evidence of tidal flooding, and a warning that the beach road will be closed from 18.30 due to the high tides. We park and walk down to the beautiful expanse of beach just as the sun is setting to the west - not quite deserted with a few dog walkers and couples taking advantage of the last rays of daylight.

On our return, we find the others have just arrived, weary after their long journey. Soon everyone is settled in, Lili fed and sleeping soundly, and we an evening of good food and wine.

Today’s blip, unsurprisingly, is a set of sunset shots at Brancaster.
