The eyes have it

Over to Oban today, John had an appointment to check out his eyes before the cataract procedure, hopefully to be done in the next few weeks. It was wet and wild on the journey down the Sound of Mull to Oban, fortunately the rain held off for most of the day, John headed up to the hospital in the hope they could fit him in earlier than planned, they did.  My job was to approach a few shops in Oban to ask if they could donate to the CP Christmas raffle or tombola.  Most sounded positive.  A good day all round, the only really wet encounter was from the ferry to car when coming home.  A number of ferries had to be cancelled, fortunately the 15.55 was operational and we arrived home, fed the cats, had a shower and out to spend the evening with a couple along the road from here. A good end to a fraught day.
