Ten Tors in 4 hours

An early walk with Indie before making Mum's breakfast. Alison followed me out to the garage at Bovey Tracey where I dropped my car off for an MOT. We then headed to the Moor, foggy down in the valley but as we headed up the skies cleared. We meet for the guided walk in a carpark above Tavistock. It was great to walk a different section of Dartmoor. Our walk leader, Paul Rendell is very knowledgeable having walked the Moor for many years. The sun shone briefly which really enhanced the autumnal landscape, the rain threatening away in the distance for much of the walk, mizzle accompanied us for the last 20 minutes. Plenty of ponies, cattle, & sheep, 2 Fox moth caterpillars, a few fungi, stunning scenery,
& good company. The first of many walks I hope.
