On my way to the White Rock…
… to renew my passport.
I’m sure I’m not the only person who never reads notes that come with anything other than flat pack furniture. I happily completed the application form and winced at the photographs taken at the library. To add insult to injury they had given me 8 copies of the pic! And no I didn’t consider blipping it on the day it was taken.
Then I noticed the section on the form about countersigning the pics! Yes I can find plenty of people who I have known for years but none of them fall into one of the required categories. I panicked and cursed for a while then decided to read the note about countersigning and realised that renewing a passport does not need any verification. Phew! Not sure if the worst thing about renewal was limping all the way to the passport office with my arthritis flare up or tapping my credit card to hand over the £100.
