Fly Past . . .
Wondered where I was this afternoon when I heard the drone of old aircraft engines, looked up and saw a vintage World War II Lancaster bomber overhead. There are only two of them still flying. This one's from the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum in Hamilton, Ontario. The other's home is in England, at RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire, where my in-laws live just down the road from the base of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. Whenever we visit we see the old Lanc flying over the village, usually accompanied by Spitfire and Hurricane fighter planes.
