Autumn leaves

MrM had a lengthy appointment with the dentist first thing this morning (arm and a leg territory...), while I had a slightly more leisurely start before leaving for drumming. An interesting session - the first half was spent with all of us trying snare drum techniques and patterns, as more snare drummers are needed for the group. Fun, but my left wrist evidently isn't into snare drumming! A quick coffee afterwards, then collected my Amazon parcel from the 'locker' at the Co-op before dashing up the hill in time for a supermarket delivery.

The parcel contained the new Zoe cookbook by Tim Spector et al. In it are some interesting and delicious-sounding recipes, though I suspect it may be difficult to convince MrM that some of them are actually food...

It was another dreary, damp, misty day, though I didn't get too wet walking to and from drumming. Got slightly more damp on the way to jazz in the evening. However, by the time we left the pub (after another excellent evening's music with Jon Taylor on sax) it was raining stair rods, as they say in these parts. We got soaked just walking to the bus station, paddling across the roads that had turned into rivers.

These damp autumnal leaves that I passed on the way to drumming are nice and bright, even on a dull day.
