Morning Snack

An early blip today so I can pack my camera etc for our forthcoming trip to Northumberland. In the 80’s and 90’s we spent many holidays walking in the Cheviots, with occasional trips to the coast, but as hillwalking became more difficult and we developed an interest in birds, we switched to East Anglia. A birding trip to the NE a couple of years ago brought back many great memories, so we thought we’d have a change and have a week on the coast. I know it’s got more popular since we used to go regularly, so I just hope it’s not too busy.
This blackbird obliged by dropping in to snack on the pyracantha berries. It’s an excellent crop again this year, so it should last through the winter months.
