The Baddies

Minky day, and a bit of a vile one so we spent the morning playing indoors with the heating on. But after lunch we were off up town to see The Baddies, a Julia Donaldson kids story that the Lyceum are putting on. And very nicely done too. They’re spoiled, these Edinburgh kids. Out in the sticks they’d be making do with TV.
Later, out again - the SK has been a bit under the weather with the lurgy going around so it was a bit touch and go but I’m so glad she came along. The Bathers at the Queens Hall playing their rather lovely new album, Sirenesque. And the imindoors chap was there too. Yes, that most gruff of followers of death metal bands, sitting listening to romantic music backed with a string quartet? One might almost think that his upcoming retirement from the world of work is bringing on a change of personality. Expect sunsets and swans, people...
