A bit of beauty
I went into town early so V and I could combine travel and then, as he went straight to a meeting and I had nothing until lunch I wandered around. I went to the Margaret Howell shop in Wigmore St as there was an exhibition of Lucienne Day tapestries there and I had a card about it offering me a free calendar if I brought it to the shop. As Margaret Howell’s calendars are normally quite austere I jumped at both the exhibition and the calendar. They were lovely.
Lunch was an interesting proposition from a US company which I didn’t fully understand so needs some unpacking with my agent.
I then went over to see Rory in hospital who despite an infection and a raised temperature was in good spirits if tired and a bit grunge. I bought him some noise cancelling headphones for his birthday as the man in the next bed was extremely noisy, either shouting down the phone or listening to films and music without headphones. Rory said he might simply put them in with the noise cancelling turned on. We did a longer shuffle round the corridors and he felt much better for it.
Train home with Vik and then a lovely dinner at the house of local friends.
