When it comes to travel Mr and Mrs Woodman think big and are very ambitious. Not needing to breath air means that they are less worried about space travel and decide to get away from the hot weather that they will go to the moon.

They have heard of a company called Heron Inter Planetary (they're a very HIP company), but the heron is too busy preening his feathers, but suggests they try BOAC (British Overseas Air Cormorants - yes I am old enough). So here they are trying to persuade the cormorant to fly them to the moon.
