Pumpkin Party

What a change in the weather. After a really dismal Wednesday we got a very sunny Thursday. We decided to go to Charlecote Park NT, over 4 years since our last visit. There were lots of pumpkins around the house, felted, sewn, knitted, crocheted .... I thought they would do for a seasonal abstract, after adding a bit of Georgia O'Keefe Topaz magic.

Actually my favourite shot from the day was the extra. Going around the house there was a guy in front of us doing the usual smart phone take everything record shots. I was looking for something a bit more creative and thought it would be nice to get the lamp through the harp strings. Well I liked it :-)

In other news I had to get some petrol today. The usually cheapest garage was chock-a-block, £1.329 a litre. The next garage was £1.319 per litre but sold out. I got some at the next one, usually the most expensive, but it was cheaper again at £1.317 per litre. I'm winning today I thought. Not so. On the way home the price had reduced by 2p to £1.297 per litre. Oh well.

When we got home we had a rare phone call from grandson Joe, to make sure we knew it was his 6th birthday tomorrow, and that we were coming to his party on Saturday. He also wanted us to sing Happy Birthday to him today, which we of course declined.

Westonbirt Again
We need to get to Westonbirt or Batsford soon (in fact we nearly did Batsford today).
