Abbott Lodge
Another of those rare days this years when it absolutely poured down. For our weekly coffee and garden centre visit we have already this month visited the ones with covered areas. Larch Cottage Nurseries (Melki) would have been our next choice but they have no indoor area other than the cafe.
For a change we decided to visit the cafe at Abbott Lodge. Abbott Lodge are a farm very near Melki. They have a herd of Jersey cattle replacing the herd of black and white cattle lost to the 2001 Foot and Mouth outbreak. THe milk from the farm is high in the ranking of jersey milk. It is used primarily to make Ice cream currently around 40 varieties (not all available at any one time).
These seats in the children's play area caught my eye as we were leaving during one of the comparatively dry periods. Having left the DSLR in the car I took this shot with my phone and carried on quickly to the dry inside of the car.
