Ringing The Bell

Such a relief and some tears.

It’s been ten weeks today since I had my surgery.

20th June I had my mammogram.
9th July I was invited back for another mammogram and biopsy taken
24th July told I had breast cancer 
31st July two appointments at the hospital getting me ready for surgery.
8th August breast surgery at west Cumberland hospital Whitehaven.
19th August dressing off.
4th September results day the best news they have removed the cancer.
25th September CT scan.
9th October first day of radiotherapy.
Today 17th October my final day of radiotherapy.

All the staff at Carlisle and Whitehaven breast clinics and all the staff at the cancer clinic in Carlisle have been absolutely brilliant I can’t thank them enough.

Afterwards I had my hair cut and coloured, then we we went out for something to eat.
