Around Whitby

It was wonderful to wake up to such a beautiful day this morning, after yesterday’s rain and mist .

We headed for Runswick Bay again and just sat absorbing the views and the sunshine with a coffee before walking along the shore . I was lucky and picked up an ammonite fossil in the sand ! Also, we chatted to lots of people - everyone is so friendly . We stayed a few hours and ate our rolls with a sea view again . A little hawthorn shield bug joined us on the bench !

This was followed by a bimble amongst the shops in the narrow streets of Whitby . Always enjoy the bookshop there . We walked out on the far pier which we’ve never done before enabling us to take pics from differing angles .

A flask of tea at Sandsend as the Full moon rose up ( the Hunters Moon - the brightest this year ) .
