Tom the Sweep

We dragged ourselves out of bed to go to Sainsburys (no bread or milk left) and ended up bringing home my son from another mother and the promise of camping in the back garden tonight!

The children played and I gently did. At 2.40 I rang Tom the chimney sweep. He arrived just after 3! Now that's a response for you! He's a lovely bloke and was super with the children - who were fascinated.

Since last September he has asked every customer to write/draw/do something on a page in a notebook. He then writes the date, the customer name and a short comment on the back. He has half a dozen sketch books now filled with some wise words, lovely stories and incredible pieces of art. All done in the time he is at the house!! Really interesting stuff.

I'm sure my Mum especially will be pleased to know that my swollen lip really isn't anymore. I still have swelling round one eye but that is going down.
