I am excited to say that I have just begun the Botanical Coloured Pencil diploma course with the London Art College. Currently I am reading a short history of botanical art. 

I hope that as the time goes by, I will be able to produce better, more considered, works and will enjoy sharing my progress with you (good or bad). This picture is just a practice piece, which I hope to use as a marker as I work through the course. The most important point for me is that I drew to scale and from the plant rather than a photograph for the first time.
