Platform 27

Hi everyone. Sorry I have been MIA (again) but we have had some "reverses" over the past few months, which have taken my mind somewhat away from photography.  Back now though ... fighting fit (more or less). 

A surprising number of family and friends has sadly left us during my absence, not the least of which has been the wonderful Joan Christensen, known to the blip community as "Jolang". Norma and I had known her for nearly 20 years. Until nearly the end, she was an astonishingly fit and active 94 year old. We, the Blackheath Blippers and so many others will miss her a lot.

In the picture above, I am headed down to platforms 26 and 27 of Sydney Central Station, where the new metro services come and go. I know I have been late to the party but at last I have had a chance to try it all out. Amazing really. Expectations exceeded.
