Changing colours and reflections

Sunday 13 October
We had a good uplifting service at church, where we were playing handbells as well as singing in the choir. The theme for the service, was taking opportunities to be the hands and feet of Christ on this earth, and both the choir anthem and the Praise Band song were perfectly fitted to the message, which they always try to do, but some weeks are more perfect than others! Anne was giving the message this morning - she is a retired minister and a member of the church. She was standing in for David, our senior pastor, who is still recovering from knee replacement surgery. This is the second knee he’s had done. The first one earlier in the year went very well and he made a speedy recovery, but unfortunately he developed an infection this time, which has slowed his recovery a bit, but I think now he is doing better. We stayed for class afterwards, then late afternoon we went for a walk at Rowe Woods. We chose one of the easier trails, since I wasn’t feeling overly energetic, possibly as a result of having my flu and Covid shots yesterday morning. I didn’t take many photos ,but I liked this one of the reflections and changing colour across the lake.
