Penthouse apartment

Nick found this fantastic structure hidden in the roof of the woodshed. The tenant had long gone. The nest is about 15cm across and the entry hole about 2 or 3cm diameter. It has been beautifully constructed  from twigs, dried leaves and moss, all carefully interwoven together. From its size and location, it may have been the family residence of a blue tit or great tit.
I had been looking forward to today, a day free from commitments, time to do my own thing, but somehow the time passed without me achieving any of the things I had hope to. Ah well, tomorrow’s another day.
