Trang!
A day in four acts- busy but lots of fun.
Act1: another morning swim in which I got wetter getting dressed than swimming (well not quite but it was raining)
Act2: yoga class with some interesting twists which released tension in shoulders I was aware of.
Act3: u3a meeting where we learned what to do in an emergency and got to practice CPR
Act4: A trip to the Albhambra Theatre in Dunfermline (my first visit) to see Scottish Ballet (possibly their visit too) perform four pieces - one traditional pas de deux front The Nut Cracker and three contemporary including the premier of Echo Echo choreographed by Madeline Squires, one of their dancers. It I'd good to see the dancers being given opportunities like this. The other two pieces were Dextera, choreographed by a former dancer, Sophie LaPlane, now choreographer in residence, which I'd seen before and Schchmatt which I missed when it was on last year. All very well danced and it was fun being closer to dancers. The Albhambra is a lovely little theatre and we also enjoyed a pre-theatre supper in town beforehand.
