New Toy

We popped over to Tuttle Jnr's place yesterday with some extra domestical items that he'd thought he'd never need (sounds about right). As we were there the three of us paid a visit to Dagfields antiques. It a unique popular vast place for all things old, antique, nice, quirky and fun. We all bought stuff here and there, and then I came across a K1000.....

A first for me.

First time buyer (of an SLR).
First time I have seen a K1000 on sale.
First time I have ever held one (assuming my Dad's Pentax wasn't a K1000).

The camera seems to be in good working order mechanically and the classic needle meter arm reacts to one of my hearing aid batteries. I just need to try it out with some cheap-ish film to make sure the seals work properly. Then if all goes to plan, I'll be trying all my K-Mount lenses including the Lensbaby. Fun, fun.
