A Different Take
Since I just posted a robin a few days ago, I wasn't thinking I'd do one again today. But then, there he was, with some lovely bokeh in the background and ... well, here I am. Decided to convert to mono just to change things up a bit.
I've had a very productive day. I finished all the edits to the dog shoot on Saturday and sent the link off to my contact - she's ecstatic! Then, I filled out the very lengthy online form to get the process started to approve my Cochlear bone-anchored hearing device. Cochlear is great to work with and have a whole team of people who do nothing but help navigate through the insurance process to ensure the device will be covered. Unlike traditional hearing aids, Cochlear devices are classified as prosthetics and are therefore covered by many insurance companies - although wading through the proper coding, medical necessity, etc. is not for the faint of heart. Anyway, the process has been started. I should know the status of the insurance coverage by early next week and then will most likely need to wait another 6 weeks or so for Medicare to approve the expense. Finally, it is the annual "open enrollment" period for Medicare here so I had to go online and sort through all of that. But it's done now - yay, me!
Hubs has one of his rare days in the office today (which is about 55 miles away) so it's just Jax, Charlie and I here. It's only in the mid 50's today with gusty winds, so not ideal for a lot of time outside. Still, the sun is shining and the birds are active, so short trips out have been a great way to break up the computer work.
