Ladies' View
A big day in Killarney. A night of heavy rain and the forecast was dire but it was actually rather gorgeous, and warm, and the colours were just stunning. I was in and out of the car on the way there and in and out of the car on the way back, probably at the same places! I met the Artist for a delicious brunch - smashed avos in case you were wondering - and we had a very enjoyable debrief and discussion as to how we thought the project had gone. Pretty good, especially the breadth of the community involvement and the quality of the creative crew. The paperwork that is now required for the sponsors is horrendous.
The Artist carried on to Tralee to freshen up the exhibition and I went in search of a well! St Mochuda's well is in the middle of the national park, a wonderful walk through open fields and rhododendron forest. The story goes St Mochuda was enchanted by the singing of a robin and followed it,, eventually falling asleep under this tree. He slept for 300years and left this saintly kneeprints!
I then had a wander around the cathedral which is an incredibly impressive and massive building - I was stopped in my tracks by the shrine to St Theresa. By this time, having rushed around to get back to the car park, I was hot and sweaty but just had time left on my ticket to get a Dingle ice cream - delicious! A day of much interest. It might fit in with todays' wide Wednesday challenge of Travel.
Back home the mattress, ordered weeks ago, finally arrived, though apparently the van came down our drive, so no car, and promptly turned round and went off again assuming no one was at home.
Thank you to everyone who took part in yesterday's Tiny Tuesday Challenge re Water - results tomorrow,
