White tailed eagle

Another exciting day.  We drove over to Ulva where we picked up a boat to go out and see if any white tailed sea eagles were about. We were very lucky in that we did see at least two and I managed to 'get' this one nabbing its fish.  Conditions weren't easy as the wind was against the tide so the boat was rocking and rolling, but hey, it was such a wonderful experience that the fact I binned over 150 photos doesn't matter! (I did use the low sequential button so many very similar shots). It was raining quite heavily when we set off but by the time we got on the boat it has settled down to a few spots and eventually it stopped, though the light was very poor.
Afterwards we went off to Salen again as we'd enjoyed the coffee there - that cafe was shut but there was another so we got hot coffee and a delicious sausage roll for lunch!
We drove home slowly taking inn the wonderful Autumn colours, looking for more otters (not lucky today) and got home in time for a very welcome cuppa.
