"Happy Birthday Mum"

Today mum was 83, we talked a lot, laughed a lot and sung a lot. Its also 3 years since we brought her home from hospital. Every day is a gift and we are grateful for the extra time we've had with her. She's a fabulous mum and we try hard to make her comfortable and happy.

Mum loves my dad and her face lights up when she hears his voice. They both love opera and have watched many performances all over the world. Mum enjoys listening to Rod Stewart and we often talk of the concerts we've gone to whenever he came to Manchester.

Today mum had lots of cards, copious amounts of chocolate and lots of birthday kisses from all of us.

Chocolate in bed, hair washed and blow waved, visit from grandchildren and great grandchildren and lots of singing and of course kisses from dad
