A productive day

A little more "Swedish death cleaning "after stitching Darcy's name to some merino socks that arrived in this morning's post. 
I've been collecting books about quilting and stitching for 28 years and there are many that I know I shall never use again so I sorted them out today , retaining a few that I know that I will use and the remainder I'll give to our daughter-in-law who volunteers as a tutor of sewing and quilt crafting for new immigrants and others. 
The iris is the first out in our garden this Spring and many others are showing generous buds.
