Surprise

One of my my polka dot plants (Hypoestes phyllostachya) is blooming. 
I did not expect it to bloom. Well, I had not expected it to survive my care for so many weeks, over six weeks. But, it is growing nicely and now it is blooming. 
Life is full of surprises.
