Le Frisco

Today we took the ferry across the Gironde to Blaye and cycled down to Bourg for lunch. On the way we passed 'Le Frisco' which is an Italian cargo ship that was sunk by the Germans in 1944.
Coming back later, the tide had come in, and the wreck was almost completely submerged. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any more information about the wreck.

We found a rather quirky place by the river in Bourg where we had a tasty al-fresco lunch. The 'kitchen' was housed in an old boat! See the extra.
