Elective in India

End of ICU

So today is my last day in general medicine, I've enjoyed it but it's not my favourite side of medicine, particularly as so many patients can't afford treatment and end up being discharged against medical advice. I brought sweets in today (under instruction from a very nice but slightly pushy ward sister) so I was popular. It was a little awkward when the paediatric team turned up, as I hadn't done the same when I was finished with them.
Monday is start Obstetrics and Gynaecology, I'm really looking forward to it so I hope it's been worth the wait.
Today's blip is taken from one of the wards, which is built around several small gardens, and it's all open (with no windows) so its nice and fresh, even when it's humid and stormy.
