Midway at night

We made the 4-hour drive to Cedar Point and got there about an hour after opening. It was misty and rainy all day. Despite the weather, the park was fairly busy, so we didn't get many rides. This photo shows the main midway about 10 minutes before the park closed for the day.

I rode Magnum XL-200 for the first time in years, and I got my 1,212th lifetime ride on Raptor. We also rode the Midway Carousel, which is running backward for HalloWeekends. That was a cool experience! And we bought a track piece from a part of Maverick that was removed just before the ride opened in 2007. That's a long story. The piece is about an inch long and only one rail (not a big track section with cross ties) and cost $320.

It was a fun visit even though we only got to ride a few things.
