Put to bed

Today husband and I harvested all our potatoes. Needless to say we have plenty to keep us going. We tidied up the bed taking out the soaker hose and the trellis for peas and tomatoes and spread the leaves and plants over the soil. They say open soil is not good for a garden so with cover crops and decaying foliage we have very few areas of bare soil looks messier but should be better more natural I think. The dogs enjoyed pottering and laying around in the sun while we worked. Last of the warmth this weekend.
