So today was an interesting start. Up early and drove to Norwich. Parked up in the rather insalubrious area of Anglia Square, which has sat stagnating for years while various plans for its demolition stall... Close by is a dentist. I went in, and an uncomfortable hour and a half later I was out, with a bill that was many times larger than any I had ever had in the previous 60 years, and with more to come... the joys of getting older.... the papers had lots of stories on the change in UK demographics - death rate is higher than birth rate again, and migration is up... just as well really in the long term.
