Living Geography

Lowther Lodge and Phaedra

After a lesson of teaching it was out to get the train. Oxford Circus then down to 66 North to get some waterproof trousers for my next trip to Iceland in a few weeks. Walked out through Green Park and then through Knightsbridge and into Hyde Park. Nice sunshine. Lunch, then to the Royal Geographical Society for my 2nd Council meeting. Fascinating seeing some of the parts of 'the home of Geography' I'd not seen before, including polar artefacts. Down for pre-drinks at the Monday night Lecture, then down Exhibition Road - Imperial busy with new students, and across the city to the Barbican. Drinks and then in to watch Tangerine Dream play Phaedra (50th anniversary) and lots of other tracks. Fantastic sound and visuals. Out to pouring rain and across town again to my hotel: the Royal Scot where I stay quite a bit. Late night...
