Chobham Common
This is Fishpool, one of the ponds on Chobham Common. The Common is the largest National Nature Reserve in the South East of England and I really should make more use of this fantastic green fitness resource on our doorstep. Jen and I paid a quick visit to collect fir cones for Mrs F, which she wants to use in an autumnal themed session at the Brownie group she helps to run. There were a lot of fir cones lying on the ground but all pretty small. We collected about 30 as instructed and hurried home as Brenda and I were due in Camberley at 6.15 for a quiz in aid of the local Citizens Advice Bureau. We were in a team of 8 - Octagonal Correctness - and came 11th out of 18 teams. We would have been equal 3rd had we played our Joker on Geography, where we got all 10 questions right instead of Music, where we only got 4 correct. But that's quizzes for you - always wise after the event!
